Color blocking is the art of combining different colors with strong color contrasts in a look, giving style.
It has its roots in the 60s, when Yves Saint Laurent presented the legendary Mondrian dress, inspired by the works of a Dutch painter.
Think of your look as if it were a painting, using the rules of the color wheel!
I know that the combination of colors is not always an easy task and many women hesitate to dare, either for fear of feeling like a rainbow, or because of its eccentricity.
To begin with, start with accessories, illuminating your whole appearance. An equally safe combination and a good start is the association of black with light colors and metallic shades, as well as colorful blouses with jeans and colored shoes.
But don’t forget, as I’ve mentioned before, using colors on a cloudy day can definitely cheer you up.
Don’t worry!!! There are some rules that will make color blocking a walk in the park!

What are they ?
Combine colors that match your skin, color and hair. The golden rule for color blocking is that we use up to 3 colors – using more creates dissonance and may have the opposite effect. Start with pink which is the key color, it is a must in colorblocking and matches most combinations. Last but not least and super s.o.s, neons are combined with neons and pastels with pastels.
In the next edition we will analyze the color wheel, which we all know that its primary colors are red, yellow and blue and then follow their derivatives which are green, purple and orange.
Color your days in style!!
Until next time..
